This was our Christmas card. Picture took at Piha Beach on the west side of Auckland, close to our house.
Poor Santa! He was so fat and tired that couldn't even hold Victor on his lap...
We didn't have lot's of sunny days until Christmas and it wasn't too hot, but the kids couldn't wait for the perfect weather to play with water outside...
For FHE we planned a Christmas tree with all the real meaning of Christmas. Augusto cut the wood (as a good carpenter he's been), glued them together and we then decorated it. It was a cool project.
Ficou td lindo!!
The gifts were put under the tree only at the night before. Clara started saying that she didn't believe in Santa and I don't think I'm ready for that yet. So I put all the gift there and a string from their gifts to their stockings in their rooms with a candy and a little message from Santa (just like the movie Arthur Christmas that we watched during their vacation so she could still believe in Santa, I hope). The next morning it was a blast and we all had so much fun opening the gifts.
Our Christmas Lunch with Lidia and Juvenal. All was very yummy and I finally got to have my Rosted Pork leg YUM!! The kids had such an awesome behave at the table!
Christmas craft day with Sanchez kids.
To end the day a Christmas tree with star shaped cookies yummy..
This year (well, last year) we tried to have a simpler Christmas but at the end I ended up (again) with a lot of projects that didn’t finish, but the good thing was that I did the most important ones. We had our Sanchez Friends kids over for Christmas crafts, we had some FHE working as it suppose to, and we celebrated Christmas with a lunch on the 25th instead of a dinner on the 24th as we Brazilian guys are used to. We wanted the kids to fully enjoy the party and as we celebrate on the 24th it would be too tiring for them. Unfortunately the Sanchez couldn’t come on last minute because two of their kids (Michael and Laura) got chicken pox. Lidia and Juvenal came and we had a nice and quiet lunch. As it is becoming tradition of our little family, the day after Christmas we went camping at Taranaki and stayed for 5 days with a beautiful weather. Great time!!!

Tivemos as
