It was a fun Saturday trip! We got our bikes and headed up to Waiheke Island. To get there we have to drive from our house to the City Ferry Station, then we get on a ~40 minutes trip in the ferry. The kids had fun watching the boats on the way, the Rangitoto Volcano. It was a beautiful day.
Foi um passeio legal de fazer num sabado ensolarado! Decidimos pegar nossas bicicletas e ir pedalar em Ilha Waiheke, para chegar ate la temos de dirigir ate o centro e pegar um barco, que leva uns 40 minutos. Os meninos adoraram olhar os barcos, as ondas que o barco fazia, o vulcao Rangitoto.
Pegamos uma trilha de 20 kilometros, que nao foi nada facil!! Muita subida e algumas vezes tinhamos de andar na pista junto com carros, muito perigoso, mas em geral andamos sempre na costa. O mar estava calminho e azul, lindo como sempre! Clara e Victor nao reclamaram nem um pouco, mesmo tendo de pedalar tanto!!
We got a 20Km track, that wasn't ease. In some points it was too steep and we had to get the road with cars, little freaky... but in general we were able to go by the coast, which was nice. The sea was blue and calm, beautiful as always! Clara and Victor didn't complain at all during the trip, even though they were tired!
We passed by an a Maori community, the closest I've ever been. I love their talent shown on the sculptured wood pieces.
Passamos por uma comunidade Maori, foi a primeira vez passando tao perto. EU adoro as esculturas trabalhadas em madeira...

Gabriel can't follow yet on his own bike, so he had to go on the trailer. Lucky him!
Gabriel nao da conta de acompanhar ainda em sua propria bicicleta, por isso tivemos que leva-lo no trailer. Sorte dele!
Going down to one beach that we passed by was fun as well. We left the bikes on the track and the children went down to explore the rocks and water. The love their lives!!
Em uma das praias por onde passamos tinhamos que deixar as bicicletas na trilha e desser o barranco. As crianças desceram sozinhas e se divertiram com as pedras e agua. Eles adoram essa vida!!
Heading back home!!
