Clara's School

Clara started school on July 19 on Swanson School. It is a semi rural school and the educational system is very nice. The child is respected in her individuality and time and the teachers try to work on each kid individually. Clara started the school on the second semester and on the second year. It really scary us because in LA she was on Kindergarten where the 5 year-old kids start formal school on September. She didn't finish the kindergarten and spent 3 months in Brazil on vacation of school and the English language. By the time we got here in NZ she was late 1 1/2 year and the school doesn't accept us to opt to push the kid back before she starts it, she can do the second year again, if we want to.
Surprisingly Clara has loved school from the first day. Her teacher is lovely and is helping her a lot. She has caught up a lot fast and still loves to go to school.
Here there is no home works and she plays all day long! I love this because I know she has really learned. I believe kids have to play to learn is the process and the way they how to do stuff, playing. I am happy that she doesn't need to be sat all day writing, practicing and copying things, having a bunch of homeworks and the teachers and the system think that is the right way!!!
She has grew up so much. She is more interacted with people, still love to sing and dance, has helped more her brothers and me with the house, has been more independent... And is still the sweetest girl ever!! Her look is just amazing and we feel her love from the air. I love her and we all are so grateful to have her in our family. Love you more and more...

Clara começou a escola em 19 de julho na Escola de Swanson. É uma escola semi-rural e seu sistema educativo é muito bom. O tempo e personalidade de cada criança sao respeitados e os professores tentam trabalhar com cada criança individualmente. Clara começou a escola no segundo semestre e no segundo ano, e isso nos assustou muito porque em LA, ela estava no jardim de infância onde crianças de 5 anos de idade começam a escola forma, em setembro. Ela nem terminou o jardim de infância e ainda passou três meses no Brasil de férias da escola e do idioma Inglês. Aqui na NZ, ela esta' atrasada 1 1/2 ano e a escola não aceita que nós optemos em atrasar a crianca em um ano, ela pode fazer o segundo ano novamente, se quisermos.

Surpreendentemente Clara amou a escola desde o primeiro dia. Sua professora é otima e está ajudando muito. Ela tem trabalhado muito e ainda assim gosta de ir à escola.

Aqui não há deveres de casa e brinca o dia inteiro! Eu adoro isso porque eu sei que ela tem realmente aprendido. Acredito que as crianças têm de aprender brincando pois esse é o processo que a criança aprende, sem falar que e' o que elas fazem de melhor. Fico feliz que ela não precise ficar sentada escrevendo o dia todo, praticando e copiando as coisas, ter um monte de trabalhos de casa e os professores e o sistema achando que é o caminho certo!

Ela cresceu tanto! Ela interage melhor com as pessoas, ainda gosta de cantar e dançar, ajuda mais os seus irmãos e a mim com a casa, esta' mais independente ... E ainda é a garota mais doce do mundo! Seu olhar é simplesmente fantástico e nós sentimos o seu amor no ar. Nos a amamos e todos nós somos muito gratos de tê-la em nossa família. Amamos voce de montao, Clarinha!
